Reservoir Dogs was the 1992 cult film that introduced most of us to filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and his penchant for expertly curated soundtracks. Mixed in with the film's botched diamond heist was a selection of tracks that served as a counterpoint to the violence and absurdity that enfolded on the screen. Along with picks from Joe Tex and Harry Nilsson was the deadpan delivery of comedian Steven Wright, acting as disc jockey for the fictional K-Billy's Super Sounds of the Seventies radio station. Wright's dialog provided the perfect introduction for tracks like The George Baker Selection's "Little Green Bag," and the ironically placed "Stuck in the Middle with You" from Stealers Wheel. Originals of this soundtrack are hard to come by so do yourself a favor and cop this before it's gone.
